چکیده

ABSTRACT We present the results of an extensive analysis optical, ultraviolet, X-ray, and γ-ray data collected from observations BL Lac objects prototype Lacertae carried out over a period nearly 13 yr, between 2008 August 2021 March. The source is characterized by strongly variable emission at all frequencies, often accompanied spectral changes. In band several prominent flares have been detected, largest one reaching flux Fγ(> 196.7 MeV) = (4.39 ± 1.01) × 10−6 photon cm−2 s−1. X-ray variability during brightest flare on MJD 59128.18 (2020 October 6) was softer-when-brighter trend due to shift synchrotron peak ∼1016 Hz, well into HBL domain. widely changing multiwavelength systematically investigated fitting leptonic models that include self-Compton external Compton components 511 high-quality quasi-simultaneous broad-band energy distributions (SEDs). majority selected SEDs can be adequately fitted within one-zone model with reasonable parameters. Only 46 soft bright spectra when observed in very high bands explained two-zone scenario. behaviour interpreted as emergence freshly accelerated particles second zone located beyond broad-line region.

The Broad Band X-ray Spectra of Intermediate Bl Lac Objects

We present recent X-ray observations of intermediate BL Lac objects (IBLs), i.e. BL Lacs which are located between high-energy and low-energy peaked BL Lac objects with respect to αrx. We briefly discuss the statistical properties of IBLs from the RGB sample and then focus on a detailed broad band spectral analysis of two objects, namely 1424+2401 and 1055+5644, which were observed with ASCA an...

Bl Lac Objects

SUMMARY: We present the radio detection of 18 BL Lac objects from our survey of over 575 deg 2 of sky. These 18 objects are located within 20 ′′ of the X-ray position, of which 11 have a measured red-shift. All candidates are radio emitters above ∼1 mJy and fall within the range of existing samples on the two colour, α ro vs α ox , diagram with a transitional population of three (3) evident. Tw...

TeV candidate BL Lac objects

The TeV emission of low power BL Lac objects has been established by the detection of an handful of them. The knowledge of the level of the TeV emission and its spectrum can shed light on the particle acceleration mechanisms, and it is especially important to assess the still uncertain level of the far infrared background radiation, which can absorb the TeV photons through photon–photon interac...

On the Nature of BL Lac Objects

The BL Lacertae objects, or BL Lacs, have multi-wavelength continua dominated by non-thermal emission from a relativistic jet, and are characterised by a lack of optical emission lines. We find, through observations and modelling that the dominant factor in a source being called a BL Lac is the intrinsic lack of flux from the broad-line region – likely connected with a weak accretion disc – rat...

A broad - band X - ray view of NGC 4945

We present the results of a BeppoSAX observation of the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 4945 in the 0.1–200 keV energy band. The nuclear X-ray emission emerges above '7 keV, through an absorber with column density NH ∼ a few 1024 cm−2. Its remarkable variability (doubling/halving timescale ∼104 s) is not associated with any appreciable spectral changes, ruling out variations of the interposed absorber...
